In Transcarpathia, border guards exposed a channel for transporting men in military service abroad
The illegal border crossing channel was discovered within the framework of the operational and preventive measures “Frontier — 2022”. The border patrol of the “Luzhanka” section of the Mukachevo detachment detained at a distance of 200 meters from the border two residents of Lviv region who were looking for an opportunity to illegally enter Hungary.
To clarify all the circumstances of the offense provided for in Art. 204-1 (Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine) KUPAP, the men were taken to the border unit. During the survey, the officers of the operational and search department of the Mukachevo border detachment found out that the detainees are a father and son who seized on the offer of merchants from Uzhgorod to assist in the illegal abandonment of the territory of Ukraine.
For illegal services, men paid carriers 5 thousand euros. Also, border guards established a person involved in the organization of illegal transportation of men across the state border.
In the course of further activities, the operational staff of the Mukachevo detachment together with the employees of the migration police of the Transcarpathian region established the place of stay of the specified person. The offender was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to this fact, the information entered in the ERDR under Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For assisting in the illegal crossing of the state border, a man faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years.
