In Sumy region, a father systematically raped a minor daughter: she gave birth to a child from him
Investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP in Sumy region under the procedural guidance of juvenile prosecutors of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office reported the suspicion of a 39-year-old man for raping his own daughter.
The investigation established that the incident took place in one of the settlements in Sumy region. In March of this year, a man raped his daughter, who was 13 years old at the time. Since then, he periodically committed similar actions towards the child.
Even when the girl became pregnant from her father, they managed to hide this fact from others for a long time. On December 12, the girl gave birth to a child at her place of residence, so her mother had to seek medical help. Only after that the girl told about the systematic rape by her father.
Now the woman in labor with the baby is in a medical institution.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Rape”.
At the request of the investigator and the prosecutor by a court decision on December 14, the suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of detention without the alternative of posting bail, he is in an investigative detention center.
For what has been committed, the offender is threatened with imprisonment for up to fifteen years. The investigation continues.
