Members of the group will be tried in Lviv region for the illegal production of components for weapons
Father and son are involved in the illegal production of poor-quality devices for silent shooting. Together with two other accomplices, they sold silencers under the Ukrainian brand, in particular in the combat zone.
As established by the operatives of the department of strategic investigations in the Lviv region and investigators of the regional police, the residents of Lviv — father and son — have equipped premises for the production of silencers for weapons. Having added two more citizens, they established their sales under the Ukrainian brand. Sold devices for silent shooting through online stores indicating false product characteristics, as well as to individuals and legal entities.
In the future, silencers fell to the front, where their use during combat operations impaired firing accuracy and even led to a rupture. Underground manufacturers did not pay attention to complaints from buyers. Similar complaints were received from the official manufacturer, who appealed to law enforcement.
According to the results of the complex of procedural measures and the collected evidence base, the organizer, co-organizer and two accomplices were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 177 (Violation of rights to an invention, utility model, industrial design, topography of an integrated chip, plant variety, rationalizing proposal) and part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Police have completed a pre-trial investigation in this case. The indictment, approved by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, was sent to the court in relation to the members of the criminal group.
