In Dnipropetrovsk region, the head of a charitable foundation was detained for organizing the departure of evaders abroad
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Dnipropetrovsk region, together with the investigators of the Nikopol regional police department, exposed the 34-year-old director of the local charitable foundation in organizing a scheme of illegal border crossing by men to be mobilized.
During the investigation, the police found that the defendant promised citizens to produce a package of documents that allowed them to travel to the EU countries. For his services, the defendant took $15,000. The cost of services included recognizing men of conscription age unfit for military service, deregistration, and entering data into the information system. In the future, they were able to go abroad without hindrance.
On January 9, law enforcement officers exposed the head of a charitable organization while receiving illegal benefits. During a subsequent search, police seized $15,000. Currently, the defendant has been declared a suspect under Part 3 of Art. 369-2 (abuse of influence) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
The pre-trial investigation continues under the procedural leadership of the Kryvyi Rih Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the military and defense sphere.
