The Ministry of Internal Affairs expands the pilot project “Specialist for Safety in the Educational Environment”
The issue of expanding the pilot project “Specialist for Safety in the Educational Environment” was discussed today during a meeting of the working group working on its implementation. Deputy Interior Minister Ekaterina Pavlichenko, who heads the group, stressed that the second stage of the pilot has already begun. Ahead is its improvement and training of new specialists.
“Today we face new and more global challenges. First, it is necessary to evaluate the work of those specialists who have already started working in the communities, to establish communication with them. And secondly, we need to scale up our pilot project “Specialist in safety in the educational environment”. To conduct a selection of new candidates for participation in the pilot, to organize training for them. By the way, the acceptance of applications for participation has already begun and will continue until September 30,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.
As the project will be expanded, the members of the working group are divided into four working groups: on the organization of training, the development of regulatory acts, the interaction with the territorial communities and on the organizational issues of the activities of security specialists.
The participants of the working group have already developed a number of documents, including the security passport of the educational institution. Soon they will arrive in the respective communities. The last document is planned to be converted into a digital format for greater ease of use.
Ekaterina Pavlichenko thanked the participants of the working group, who were able to implement the launch of the pilot in conditions of martial law.
Recall that after passing the relevant training, 17 security specialists in the educational environment have already started working in the communities. Recruitment of candidates for participation in the second stage of the pilot is ongoing.
The main task of the safety educator is to identify and stop offenses within the educational institution, participate in preventive measures and make proposals to strengthen the safe educational environment.
