Larysa Borsch is one of the women who was selected for the combined assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Fury”. In peaceful life, Larisa worked as a personnel manager, but from the first days of the war she realized that from now on she would not be able to sit with her hands up.

“Since I was a child, I dreamed of being a military man. But the circumstances were so that it was not possible to realize this dream. But when a full-scale invasion began, I decided that I should be of maximum benefit to the state in these difficult times,” says the volunteer.

So Larisa found herself in a volunteer formation in the city. Stryi. Together with the police, she patrolled the streets, underwent appropriate training, learned how to handle weapons, and also took courses in tactical emergency medical care.

“Once the instructor told that the police of Lviv region started recruiting for the “Fury” brigade, the purpose of which is to repel and deter the enemy. And I immediately realized - this is my chance, which I have been waiting for all my life!”, - says the woman.

Larisa submitted the necessary documents, successfully passed the selection, and is now preparing for exercises, upon completion of which, together with other fighters, she will begin to fulfill the tasks set.

“My main motivation is like that of all Ukrainians today: to make sure that this evil spirit does not walk on our land. I love my family, my home, my garden. And I will defend it!” she says.

Recall that the formation of the brigade will last until April 1. Volunteers who want to join can apply on the website storm.mvs.gov.ua or through the Administrative Service Centers.
