Today, December 14, world-famous writer, heiress of Sheraton hotels, TV presenter and businesswoman Mitzi Purdue visited Kyiv region. The philanthropist handed over 8 cars to the police of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

“Thank you Mitka for the support of the Kiev police. We really suffered losses during the active offensive of the aggressors. Thanks to such actions, structural units are actively being restored, and also continue to work effectively so that every citizen feels safe,” Andriy Nevitov noted.

Recall that in the summer, a delegation from the United States visited the de-occupied settlements of Kyiv region. Among the liberated cities visited by foreign guests was Chernobyl, which is one of the first where the invaders broke in. The infrastructure, in particular the police, suffered Russian inaction. Also, foreign representatives saw destroyed police cars.

In addition, the head of the police of the Kiev region demonstrated the burned down training center in Buchansky district, destroyed police buildings in Borodyanka, Makarov, Kozarovichi, as well as significant damage in the Irpin police department.

“The work of the Kiev police in the exclusion zone is necessary not only for Ukraine. I saw the consequences of the occupation and therefore I want to hand over 8 cars to the police of Chernobyl. It is important for me that law enforcement agencies can fully fulfill their duties,” the philanthropist said.

The day before, businesswoman Mitzi Purdue sold an ancient Colombian emerald at auction for more than a million dollars. The proceeds will be directed to support Ukrainian women affected by Russian aggression and to combat human trafficking.
