Mykola Anatsky: Photographer with the Power of a Warrior
Yesterday, the Ministry of the Interior suffered an irreparable and painful blow. The plane crash killed individuals who were responsible for the majestic and at the same time difficult mission of doing everything possible, and often at the limit, to guarantee the safety of our citizens during the war.
We are all in sincere and indescribable sorrow because we have lost our leaders, comrades and friends, and most importantly, men of honor, people of duty and exemplary patriots of our country.
Among the dead on this tragic day, which is still not believed, is our colleague and talented photographer from God. He is a true warrior who knows how war smells and sounds, how it breaks into your home, and who radiated good and wanted to live very much because it was for whom, and had many creative plans. Friend, on the windowsill is your portrait with a mourning ribbon. The flame of a candle is reflected in the glass, on the desktop there are things, as if forgotten in passing, waiting for their master. And unusual silence in our friendly “hive” — the 111th office. From time to time she is disturbed by the mention of you. And especially your expression, like a refrain: “There is no test above the extent that limits the pain that each of us perceives...”.
Nikolai Anatsky was 34 years old. He was born and raised in Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, was a guard and served in the battalion “Donbass”, then in the battalion of the operational purpose of the NGU named after him. S. Kulchitsky, where he was known by the nickname “Master”. As a volunteer, he participated in combat sorties, was wounded, survived. He made his way from soldier to officer, and it was at the front that he found within himself a vocation to perpetuate time and people. Subsequently, he joined our team of communicators as a leading inspector of the Department of Communications of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
It was thanks to his talent and professionalism, which at times bordered on risk, that Ukraine and the world saw how our law enforcement officers and military, emergency personnel and civil servants protect and rescue citizens. We know in the faces of hundreds of Heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of today precisely because Nikolai Anatsky managed to convey with the help of photos that personal pain and joy from each personal victory that made these people role models for all of us.
Among the extraordinary works of the photographer are photos of Azov commanders in Turkey, where they were brought after their liberation from Russian captivity. And many photo reports from the forefront, from the epicenter of events, from the vortex of emotions, words and deeds, where a new era is minted, a new historical paragraph of this world.
Friends write very aptly about Kola: “He is one of those who knew how to combine the vision of an artist with the strength of a warrior.” “Our Kola is the brightest part of our communication team. He was not just a “photographer,” as they now write. She was such a multifaceted person that the word photographer is a meager noun that does not speak of anything.”
