The Ministry of Internal Affairs has completely rebuilt the flight safety system of its helicopters, trains pilots in a different way. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko in the final big interview for the TV channel “Rada”, answering the journalist's question — whether he personally put an end to the case of the plane crash in Brovary, in which the previous leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs replied: “Yes, and no. We did not put an end, both myself and, including, our team, on the question of what it hurts to this day.”
He noted that in his office there are mock-ups of helicopters, which are on the balance sheet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the central executive bodies.
“When I look at them, this tragedy always pops up,” Igor Klymenko shared.
At the same time, he stressed that together with international partners, with the French companies that provided these helicopters, of which there are more than 50 in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, additional simulators have been installed and the requirements for technical personnel and meteorological control have been increased.
“We will be more careful to ensure that our services clearly understand what miscalculations have been made before this and what we should not allow after the resumption of aviation in the future. This is a question not only for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but for the entire aviation fleet of our country,” he stressed.
