This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine today, October 17, at the site of the analysis of the rubble of an apartment building destroyed in the morning by the explosion of one of the enemy drones.

“In the morning there was a massive drone attack: more than 40 drones flew into the territory of our state, most of which were shot down. The air force reported that more than 30 drones were shot down,” Denis Monastyrsky said.

According to him, 30 of these 40 drones flew to the capital; fortunately, not many arrived.

“We understand that about five drones flew to the site and crashed in the center. You can see the consequences of the destruction: 18 people were rescued from the destroyed residential building, there are several dead,” said Denis Monastyrsky.

Currently, the analysis of the blockages is ongoing. Once completed, the overall consequences of the tragedy will be understood.

“It is obvious that this is another terror of the civilian population: most of the people of Kiev today woke up to the sound of shots that tried to shoot down drones and explosions of the drones themselves. This suggests that the goal of the terrorist Putin was precisely to intimidate the civilian population,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is convinced.

He once again stressed the importance of supporting the international community and providing it with the necessary protection.

“Such technologies exist. And today we are negotiating with a number of countries so that they are given not only to the capital, but also to other cities that are subject to drone attacks. After all, today not only in Kiev, but also, in particular, in the Sumy region there are casualties from drone strikes,” the minister noted.
