Kherson resident exposed in collaborationism

Law enforcement officers of the Kherson region exposed a local resident in collaborationism. During the occupation of Kherson, a 56-year-old woman voluntarily took a leading position in an institution illegally created by the Russian invaders.

Information about the involvement of the woman in the collaborative activities was received by the operatives of the SBU department in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. During the further investigative and investigative measures, evidence of illegal activity of the attacker was collected.

In early July 2022, the woman voluntarily accepted the offer of the occupation authorities to head the so-called “management of labor and social policy of the Kherson city district of the military-agrzdan administration of the Kherson region.”

During her tenure, the pseudo-manager personally selected employees to perform the functions of the institution, determined the duties of the latter and carried out the general management of the labor collective, issued and signed orders for recruitment to the occupation authority. Also, the defendant was responsible for the work on organizing the appointment and regular provision of social benefits to citizens who are entitled to receive them and who were registered with the occupation authority.

In addition, the attacker zealously executed orders, orders and decrees of the highest authorities established by the occupying authorities in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

The investigators qualified the wrongful actions of the defendant under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 “Collaborative activities” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. At the moment, in agreement with the Kherson District Prosecutor's Office, the suspect has been reported in absentia. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years and with or without confiscation of property.
