Here, in the 1st border detachment, her son Petro OSADCHUK served. His life was cut short during the defense of Soledar on January 9, 2023. Tetiana Osadchuk helps her own community and takes care of the military with the payments received. At the moment, the woman handed over a large comfortable bus for the village school where her son studied.

For border guards from the first detachment there are three FPV drones. Soon the UAVs will go to the front line and deliver “gifts” to the occupiers. “I always taught my child — do not kill, do not steal, and now I buy death myself so that Ukraine will win,” Tatiana says.

Petro OSADCHUK served in the service since 2014. Due to childhood trauma, he was not taken into the army. When a full-scale invasion began, Peter went to the TRO. He put up barricades, dug trenches, wanted to get weapons and go to fight. Secretly from his mother, he went to the training ground and learned to shoot. He said, “Mom, I'm going there so they don't come here. If you do not stop them there, I will not help you here, Mom. I will go so that you sleep peacefully, so that the children sleep peacefully.”

Since February 24, 2022, Peter has been relentlessly beating the thresholds of the Military Admissions Office, and in a few months he was handed a summons. To serve, the guy went to the 1st border detachment. Subsequently, as part of it, went to the east. Performed combat missions in Soledar. From there, he often wrote and filmed videos for his mother. Every day the situation in the city was getting worse. The command decided to leave Soledar. However, this was only partially successful. When leaving the city, Peter and his brothers came under mortar fire. From the injuries received, the border guard died on the spot. The body of the hero could not be evacuated. Mrs. Tatyana waited for the return of her son for almost a month.

“On the way, I already knew that he was my son. I was sent a photo of him, recognized by a cross. But still some hope lived, everyone could have such crosses. When they showed the body, it was impossible to recognize it by its face, I asked to show my hand - I did not recognize it by it either. I wanted to look at his teeth, - he had a notch in front, they did not give... They looked at themselves in gloves... That's how I recognized my son,” the woman recalls with tears.
