Luhansk region: members of the government and deputies arrived at the contact line in Donbas
Over the past few days, the security situation in eastern Ukraine has worsened. Due to shelling by hybrid forces in Donbas on the morning of February 17, the infrastructure and the building of the kindergarten in Stanytsya Luhanska were damaged, three employees of the institution were injured. Therefore, on February 19, against the background of aggravation, members of the government and deputies arrived at the contact line in Stanytsia Lugansk.
Deputy Prime Minister — Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk visited the kindergarten, which on the morning of February 17 was fired by illegal armed formations of the Russian Federation with heavy weapons, after which she talked with the residents of the village.
On the same day, a conference with the participation of the Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, the leadership of the Luhansk region, representatives of the border service, the National Police, the State Emergency Service of Luhansk region and journalists was held at the base of the CNAP in Stanytsya Lugansk village. At the meeting, the participants discussed readiness for possible evacuation, the readiness of infrastructure to receive people from the territory temporarily not controlled by the Ukrainian government and the gross violations of the Minsk agreements by the Russian occupation forces that took place over the past time.
