The head of the GSC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented changes in the exams for a driver's license
At Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, the head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs spoke to the cadets with a topic that can concern everyone. After all, in Ukraine it is planned to change the conditions for passing theoretical and practical exams for obtaining a driver's license.
“Road safety is one of the areas of activity of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Because it is our competence to examine candidates for the driver of different categories of vehicles. As the only authority in Ukraine for issuing driver's licenses for the first time, we are actively working to improve all processes in passing exams. Technical progress is moving and we are with him. This year we are faced with the task of changing the procedure for passing exams in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The aim is to eliminate the factor of influence of examiners or outsiders on the results of exams, as well as to expand the tools for challenging the results. The slogan of this project is “You know — you write successfully”. Transparency of exams is what society wants and what we have to ensure,” said Mykola Rudyk in his speech at the conference.
The GSC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs aims to make:
- registration for the practical exam online — the number of visits can be reduced to 1, because the pre-registration ticket can be obtained through the website of the GSC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and not only in the terminal in the room, as it is now;
- It will be possible to appeal the results of the exams over a longer period - it will be 30 days, not 3 as at present;
- fixation of passing exams will expand, so it will be possible to hear and see from different angles everything that happened during the exam - in the classes for theory there will be no more “blind zones”, because there will be 4 surveillance cameras that will provide cross-shooting and additionally record sound in the room, and in Class B cars for practical exams will have 2 recorders, a camera with a 360° viewing angle of the cabin.
As for the order of the exams themselves, nothing changes for people. There were 20 questions and 20 minutes on the theory — it remains so. In practice, as was the execution of traffic along the route - so it is.
Also, exercises on the site near the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the martial law are still simplified — there is only traffic along the route. All routes are approved by us and the military administrations and published on the website,” the head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained.
All these changes should take place by the end of 2023.
