This was emphasized by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk during a visit to the American rehabilitation hub Protez Foundation, which has recently started work in Ukraine.

Within the framework of a two-day conference on the implementation of modern types of rehabilitation, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk together with the heads of Medical Rehabilitation Centers visited the Protez Foundation center. During this time, representatives of medical institutions got acquainted with the work of the hub, as well as discussed future cooperation in the direction of prosthetics of soldiers and training of specialists from various areas of rehabilitation.

“I am very happy to meet you here. We came with a team of the most experienced managers. We are all here to share and adopt experiences for the common goal — quality rehabilitation. Many of our guys have already undergone prosthetics and rehabilitation thanks to the Protez Foundation. We see your professional approach and are ready for further cooperation and implementation of new projects,” said Inna Yashchuk.

In turn, the founders of the hub showed the process of manufacturing prostheses for the Ukrainian military.

“I can say for sure — the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Protez Foundation are on the same wave. We have one goal — to help the military in spite of everything. It was you who gave us a second breath to move in Ukraine. Our concept shows that every fighter is important to us. This place can be called a kind of home for veterans,” said Yuriy Aroshidze.

He said that the center currently employs two prosthetists and technicians who manufacture prostheses for Ukrainian soldiers. Also in the hub there is a place for the rehabilitation of the military.

Co-founder of Protez Foundation Yakov Gradinar noted that not only Ukrainian specialists work in the center, some doctors come from the United States. Also in the team will be mentors with amputations, who will help the military to pass the stages of prosthetics and rehabilitation as easily as possible.

“We want every soldier who comes to us for prosthetics to feel our love and support, it cannot be replaced by any mechanisms,” said Yakov Gradinar.

Recall that last year, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk already had a meeting with the co-founder of the Protez Foundation Yuri Aroshidze, during which the parties agreed on training for doctors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
