Igor Klymenko: For 18 months now, as we write a new history of our state and the Ministry of Internal Affairs

With these words, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko addressed the representatives of the National Police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service and the State Border Service during the award ceremony on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine.

Thus, for their personal courage and courage, steadfastness and determination in the performance of military and official duty in conditions associated with the risk to life during measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation, representatives of the bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine were awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky III degree, Danylo Halytsky, “For Courage” II and III degrees, medals “For Military Service to Ukraine”, breast badges “For Courage in Service” and “For Distinction in Service”.

In addition, the awardees were awarded departmental incentive awards of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Firearms”.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the participants jointly performed the National Anthem of Ukraine and honored the memory of the deceased brothers with a minute of silence.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko thanked each representative of the police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the border guard for the service that brings Ukraine's victory closer every day:

“Many of you came here directly from the frontline. From the first day of the war, you ensured order in the cities, rescued people, evacuated. Many of you have seen the death and wounding of your brethren, and many of you are in line, despite your numerous injuries. However, despite all the difficulties, you continue to fight for our Independence, step by step destroying the enemy.”

Igor Klymenko stressed that the courage of our heroes proved that our country will surely defeat the aggressor and de-occupy its own territories.

“Looking into your eyes, I can say with confidence that the best people of our state, the flower of the nation, the bravest, have made one choice for themselves - this is the choice to protect our state. Each of you shows resilience and love for your own Motherland, because you know what we should do next — expel the enemy from our territories, stand on the borders of our country and restore order inside after the end of the war,” the Minister of Interior said.

In addition, the award ceremony was attended by heads of departments who thanked the awardees for their dedicated service and joint work for the good of the country.

“These are worthy awards for you. The war is not over yet, but it is a matter of time and we will definitely go to the borders of 1991,” said the commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pivnenko.

In turn, the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko assured that the state appreciates every fighter and will continue to help:

“Everyone who gave part of their health for the benefit of our country will not be forgotten, as well as the families of the fighters,” Ihor Klymenko summed up.
