“Rescuers have completed the analysis of the rubble. At this point, the victims - fifty people, of whom 17 died, 33 were injured. DNA laboratories are now operating at the scene. We have already selected the appropriate DNA profiles from the bodies of the dead, now we are selecting the appropriate DNA profiles from relatives. Therefore, relatives who have lost contact with their loved ones should turn to the units of the National Police, precisely to our criminalists,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said on the air of the all-Ukrainian television marathon “United News”.
The Minister also noted that the weapons from which the market was hit are installed by specialists. Explosives are working on site, we will know this information in the near future.
Regarding why the invaders struck the market, Igor Klymenko said that this is one of the most crowded places in the city.
“At 14 hours 4 minutes, when this arrival was, it was a blow right into the center of the city. It is civilians who are in the market at this time, either leaving or returning from lunch break. It was always crowded there. And among the dead and injured - almost all residents of Konstantinovka,” he said.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in addition, told the horrifying details of this terrorist attack: “The special atrocity and horror of this crime, in particular, is that the bodies of some of the dead were torn apart. Already directly in the morgue we are trying to establish, identify all these bodies. Therefore, this is such a terrible tragedy, the most terrible thing is that it is a civilian population. There are no military units in this place. There are no excuses for the occupiers.”
In addition, the Russians damaged two five-story buildings. 122 apartments were damaged, each of which was bypassed by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Also 28 trade pavilions were damaged, 8 destroyed.
