In Ukraine, more than 1,500 trained sappers and 33 mechanized demining machines are depopulated daily. This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko during an interview at the “United News” telethon.

The longer the territory is occupied, the more it is mined. On three square meters of mined territory there can be five or more mines - anti-tank and anti-infantry.

The enemy remotely mines the territory. A large number of explosive objects remain in the forests, in particular in the Izyum and Balakliya districts, where the Russian invaders temporarily stood.

“We are preparing our forces and our capabilities, including technical and human personnel, in order to defund the main arteries: energy, gas, agriculture, as well as civil infrastructure,” said Igor Klymenko.

Also, the Head of the Interior said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is trying to find innovative approaches to demining fields. With the help of drones, reconnaissance of territories is carried out, contaminated areas are determined.

“With the help of the Humanitarian Demolition Center, we are trying to technically equip our units. For Ukraine, we need at least 100 mechanized mining machines and about 5000 pyrotechnicians who will be engaged in further mining,” Ihor Klymenko noted during the interview.
