“So far, 2678 people have been rescued. We are trying to carry out evacuation measures, even though the enemy is constantly shelling evacuation sites, shelling our rescuers, policemen and volunteers. But today we saved about eighty people,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine said on the air of the all-Ukrainian television marathon “Yenyi Novosti”.

Igor Klymenko also reported that 29 people are currently missing. The minister noted that the hotline phone is available 24 hours a day, and citizens can contact the police.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also said that there was not a single case of looting in the disaster zone on the right bank.

“We have provided enough uniforms and patrols to prevent the encroachment of certain criminals or citizens who are trying to take advantage of the situation. This applies to all settlements,” he said.

The Minister once again addressed the volunteers: “All volunteers working on the territory of Kherson are all registered, we communicate with them. We need to be clear about how many vessels we have. We must clearly understand what forces and means we can operate every hour, every minute.”
