Igor Klymenko on the operational situation and the strengthened curfew in the Kherson region
“It was decided at the military council to extend the curfew in the area of the Ships. At this time, the relevant services will work - police and housing and communal services. We have to understand what is happening in this area,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said on the air of the all-Ukrainian television marathon “United News”.
The minister said that 2779 people had already been evacuated. To date - 22 people.
“As for the activities we carry out, they are quite tangentially tied to the rising of the water. We have a decrease in depth and water in the Korabel neighborhood of about half a meter per day,” Igor Klymenko said.
He added that sappers are the first to enter this territory. After that, police officers and workers of housing and communal services come in. Next, energy and gas industry workers will work. Only after that will specialists come in who will be responsible for the sanitary and epidemiological condition.
In addition, the Minister said that three cases were recorded when people wanted to enter someone else's empty dwelling. It is in the area of the microdistrict Island of the city of Kherson. But these are all such cases that have been recorded.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs drew attention to the fact that now all people are primarily provided with water and food.
“Food kits are shipped every day in sufficient quantities so that people do not need food shortages. Also, at the moment, we have received almost 2,900 applications from our citizens for damage to property,” he said.
