Igor Klymenko: About every volunteer of the National Guard after the war we will be able to write a story
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine told about this in the film dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the NGO “BORN OF WAR: 10 years of the National Guard of Ukraine”.
“When you look at the guys who voluntarily came to the combat brigades of the “Guard of Offensive”, you understand that Ukraine has a future. After the war, we will be able to write the history of volunteer brigades, because now we can only talk about 5-10% of the achievements that the National Guard demonstrates daily as part of the defense forces of Ukraine,” the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed.
It was the soldiers of the National Guard who were the first to meet the Russian landing in Gostomel and did not allow the invaders to immediately seize the airfield.
Also, the National Guard soldiers, together with other defenders, restrained the invasion of the horde in Mariupol. This defense of the city lasted 86 days. In captivity of the enemy there are still fighters of the National Guard of Ukraine, for which Ukraine continues to fight tirelessly.
In an interview for the film “BORN BY WAR”, the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko stressed that every volunteer who came and enrolled in the units of the National Guard or other brigades of the Guard of the Offensive is the best sons and daughters of our Ukraine. These are the heroes behind whom the future of our country is.
“I would like to congratulate the servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine. We wish victories to our state and great glory to the National Guard,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine emphasized.
