Igor Klymenko introduced the new commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pivnenko
Today, July 10, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko presented Oleksandr Pivnenko, who by the Decree of the President of Ukraine is appointed commander of the National Guard of Ukraine.
At the beginning of the event, the participants honored the memory of the deceased servicemen of the National Guard and performed the Anthem of Ukraine.
The Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko thanked the previous commander of the National Guard Yuri Lebidy for his dedicated service and leadership in the conditions of a full-scale war.
“I want to thank you for the fact that from the first days of the war you led a huge and effective unit of the Security and Defense Forces of the National Guard of Ukraine. The units of the National Guard are worthy on the battlefield and every day they repel the enemy, which is your merit,” said the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko wished the new commander Oleksandr Pivnenko with inspiration and strength. He noted that the head of the National Guard, like the previous commander, should focus on the preparation of the brigades of the “Guard of Offensive” and the effective use of the units already formed.
“The main direction of work is the preparation of the “Guards of the offensive”. At present, it is the main task of our country so that the units can perform tasks in full, in order to deoccupy our territories as soon as possible,” said the new commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pivnenko.
At the end of the event, Igor Klymenko stressed that everyone should remember that the main thing at the moment is victory in the war, but all departments should work on the future priorities presented by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his doctrine, in particular, on the internal order in the state.
