This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko in his Telegram channel.

“Today, as part of the government delegation headed by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal, took part in an away meeting to resolve the situation. Because when Ukrainian drivers cannot cross the border for weeks - this is an inadequate situation in the civilized world,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs wrote.

The Minister stressed that during the entire time of the protests, he was in direct contact with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Poland Marcin Kerwinski. Unfortunately, Igor Klimenko noted, it was not possible to meet personally at the border with his Polish counterpart today.

“However, I am grateful for the prompt response of Polish law enforcement officers to cases of violation of the Law. This is a painful picture when the Ukrainian congregation gathered under shelling, protesters pour out of trucks and wagons,” the Minister wrote.

He also noted that Ukrainian border guards are monitoring the situation at the border around the clock. There is a constant exchange of information with Polish colleagues.

“We are working to resolve the situation. We hope for dialogue within the framework of the Mutual Understanding Plan,” Ihor Klymenko summed up in his post.
