What schemes do fraudsters use to gain access to your bank card
“Your card is blocked, please provide your card number, expiration date and CVV code to recover it.” Have you received such a call from the bank? These are scammers. They use a not new, but popular scheme to access your bank card.
How do intruders act?
● Ask for personal data during telephone conversations with customers, which real bank employees do not do. ● They may ask to transfer funds to another account.
● Scammers also use number swapping, allegedly on behalf of financial institutions (spoofing technology
).
How to protect yourself?
● Put your phone on the phone and call support on your own at a verified number. ● Do not disclose personal data.
● Do not install any apps or applications with remote access functionality.
● Connect SMS informing about payment card transactions.
If you have reported any personal information to fraudsters immediately block the card, contact the bank and the police.
