How the Aerospace Intelligence Brigade “Frontier” fights and who are waiting for the National Guardsmen from the “Offensive Guard” in their ranks
They are the eyes of the 3rd Battalion (“Svoboda”) of the Rapid Response Brigade of the National Guard “Frontier”. 26-year old Dmitry and 21-year-old Konstantin, and simpler ones — Tractor and Van Damm — now head the battalion's special aviation intelligence unit, which they train, and recite. Without drones, you can't fight.
Prior to the full-scale invasion, Tractor worked as a sales manager. After the last return from Bakhmut, the first thing he did was marry his beloved Valeria. Because he felt how thin the face of life is, so nothing should be put off for later.Van Damm exchanged the student audience of the history faculty of the
Boris Grinchenko University of Kyiv for the practical creation of history.
Today, the role of drones in war is huge. First, it's intelligence, it's eyes. If earlier, in order to understand what is happening around, it was necessary to send people, reconnaissance groups to the rear of the enemy, now you can simply raise the bird in the air and not risk the lives of the fighters.
Also it is the adjustment of fire and the opportunity to see where ours are, where the enemies are. Further, the information gets to the artillery and they work out clearly.
And everyone needs to understand that a lot of drones are needed today. After all, the life span of a drone in war is 30 minutes.
“Unfortunately, drones in war are a starting material, but with certain skills you can minimize the loss of these planes. Although these losses will still be, because we use, for the most part, not military drones, but civilian aircraft, for which the conditions of war are a critical load, not provided for by the operating conditions. And only thanks to the enthusiasm and ingenuity of our drones, they fly where by nature they should not fly,” says national guard Konstantin.
The fighters of the brigade of the NGO “Rubezh” also told about the fact that the Russians are beginning to use our tactics. They have night drones, they use VOG-Discharges, they adjust artillery and drop ammunition. And this is a real problem. The only way out is to go ahead and look for new options.
“We need recognition of air intelligence as a separate unit with its own command, its own security and people who know how it works. When the calculation is commanded by a person who does not understand how it works, nothing good will come of it.
At one time, Kosta and I had a war to give us freedom of action. When we were given freedom, the result was gone. When there was no freedom, there was no particular benefit to us either. The pilots themselves have to decide where they should be. If the commander determines where they should be, and he does not understand the whole specifics of the case in 90% - there will be no point. Because from the point of view of tactics, it may be profitable for him to put the calculation here, but it is not profitable for the operators, because they will not see anything from there,” says National Guardsman Dmitry.
Also, the guys are sure that now we all need to make every effort and begin to take revenge for the lost friends, for the destroyed cities and villages. They call on all motivated to join the “Guard of Offensive”.
“We need drones, gunners, and BTRs. We all need it. But we only need volunteers, those who understand where he is going and for what. Yes, now there is a big problem with such motivated people. But we don't need people who have been sent to the front lines as punishment for speeding or any crimes. Advanced is not a correctional colony. But if a person wants, if a person understands that it can be useful, we will teach everything that we know ourselves, and in the future, maybe he will teach us,” Dmytro concludes the story.
