Guards captured 24 Russian servicemen, destroyed helicopter and enemy equipment
During the past week, units of the National Guard of Ukraine, which perform combat tasks as part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, captured 24 enemy soldiers, as well as destroyed a helicopter and captured enemy equipment.
Colonel Mykola Urshalovich, acting director of the Department of Application Planning of the Main Directorate of NGU, informed about this today, September 29, during a briefing on the situation at the front, the results of the performance of combat tasks by units of the National Guard and the implementation of law enforcement tasks.
“During the fighting, the enemy's equipment and manpower were damaged, 24 servicemen of the Russian army were captured, an armored personnel carrier and a Mi-8 helicopter were destroyed, a T-72 tank, two units of BMP-2, an MT-12 Rapira anti-tank gun were captured, Bala “Cartographer” type, MT-LB tractor, anti-tank missile system and road paver,” he said.
In addition, Nikolai Urshalovich noted that the intelligence units of the National Guard during the week detected 261 enemy targets.
The forces of the engineering units of the NGU in the course of supporting the troops found, neutralized and destroyed 1709 explosive objects, checked almost 10 km of paths.
At the same time, within the framework of preparation for possible threats from the armed forces in the northern regions of Ukraine, the guards participate in joint exercises with the units of the Armed Forces and the State Fiscal Service. Methods of counteracting possible scenarios of complicating the situation, issues of coordination, management and interaction during the implementation of joint tasks are worked out.
