In particular, the possibilities of Ukraine to respond to RHB challenges and the level of readiness of the State Emergency Service to join the relevant module of the Mechanism.

“Your help will allow not only to assess the state of readiness of our units of the RHB Protection to act as intended, but also provide an opportunity to increase the level of their logistics,” Alexey Sergeyev asked about representatives of the Advisory Mission.

In particular, he thanked the Directorate-General of the European Commission for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management of the EU, which responded to the appeal of the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko and formed groups of RHB experts, which are starting work in both Ukraine and Poland.

The Deputy Minister stressed that the analysis of the Consultative Mission is important for Ukraine and in terms of the risks posed by Russian aggression.

According to him, the greatest such risks are the possible terrorist acts by the Russians at the nuclear power plant, the use of combat poisons on the contact line, missile strikes on chemical-hazardous facilities, threats to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine and European countries, as well as the use of biological weapons against civilians.

In turn, t.v.o. The head of the State Emergency Service Andriy Danyk informed about plans to create a RCB Intelligence and Sampling Module with subsequent certification in the EU Civil Protection Mechanism to help other countries eliminate the consequences of RBB incidents.

“Joining the EU Civil Protection Mechanism makes it possible to expand Ukraine's capabilities in responding to emergency situations, but at the same time it can significantly strengthen the capacity of other member states with assistance from the Ukrainian side,” Andriy Danyk said.

Recall that the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union is one of the world's largest systems for providing international coordinated operational assistance in emergency situations. On April 20, 2023, Ukraine also joined the Assistance Agreement.
