The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine continues recording for the collection of DNA samples from relatives of persons considered missing abroad. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko on the air of the “United News” tele-marathon.

“As of January 15, 84 citizens applied to [email protected] to register for the collection of DNA samples for the search for missing relatives. They will be able to submit their biological samples at certain addresses, - said Leonid Tymchenko. “In the future, this information will be placed in the Central Register of Human Genetic Traits for comparison with those DNA profiles that are already contained in it.” So, 37 citizens applied for the selection of DNA samples in Poland, more than 20 in Germany.

They also applied in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Spain and Turkey. Employees of foreign branches of State Enterprise “Document” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine are contacted with those who submitted applications and offer them a convenient time and place for delivery of biological material.

“Even if one citizen applied, we would do everything to get biological material, transfer it to Ukraine, appoint an examination and carry out the whole range of activities for assistance to our citizens in the identification and identification of persons who today are considered missing,” said Deputy Minister Leonid Tymchenko stressed that
