Children of the National Guard undergo rehabilitation in the United States
Denver, Colorado, continues a two-week rest and rehabilitation of children of Ukrainian National Guard soldiers who were wounded or gave their lives during the Russian-Ukrainian war.
This trip is supported by the Ukraine Aid Fund and the Ukrainian diaspora of the city of Denver. Its main goal is to bring smiles back to the faces of Ukrainian children who have experienced severe losses from the actions of the aggressor. The key to successful recovery of the psycho-emotional state of the child is an interesting and diverse program, which was prepared by our American partners.
“We feel the support of our American friends. I hope that this project will continue within the framework of civil-military cooperation, which is extremely important for children, as well as for expanding friendly relations between Ukraine and the United States. Thank you to everyone who helps us in the fight against Russian aggression, in particular the Fund for Support of Ukraine in the state of Colorado,” said Major Kyrylo Onishchenko, an officer of the department of civil and military cooperation of NGU.
Ukrainian children attended one of the schools in the city of Denver. They arrived at the school on the local school bus. Here the children of the National Guard got acquainted with the conditions of study of local schoolchildren, visited classes of American peers and met with the school director.
Also, the children visited a ski resort in the picturesque mountains of Colorado, included in the list of the world's top resorts.
“Pleasantly impressed by the rich program from American friends. We have so varied and interesting days that there is not even time to pick up the phone! This week we immersed ourselves in real school life in the United States: and as if we had visited a series about American teenagers. We are very grateful to the Ukrainian diaspora for the organization of recreation,” the daughter of Azov Khrystyna shared her impressions.
Ahead is another week of great adventures, pleasant experiences and new acquaintances. Children are waiting for a visit to the water park, get acquainted with the architecture of the cities of Colorado, a variety of entertainment activities, etc.
