Children of a heroic people are also heroes: The leadership of the state praised the little Ukrainians for incredible deeds during the war
Today, August 12, on Youth Day, in the Mariinsky Palace with the participation of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the First Lady, a patriotic action “Children, Rescuers - Heroes of War” took place.
The head of state noted eight little heroes who proved by their actions that with such brave and sincere children Ukraine will have a wonderful future.
“Today we are rewarding our little great Ukrainians. Our future. Your actions are strong and mature,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.
For example, twelve-year-old Gleb from Kharkov, during the shelling of the city with cluster bombs, covered a boy smaller than himself. The splinter hit Gleb right in the heart, but he, fortunately, survived and saved the life of another child.
Ten-year-old Maxim from Berdyansk, having a disorder of the autistic spectrum, brings our victory closer with his talent, drawing pictures, and giving the money earned for them to the Armed Forces.
Seven-year-old Yegor, from the village of Czestovytsya in the Chernihiv region, made himself a wooden machine and guarded the street of his village, on which only three houses survived. And today he helps fire technicians of the State Emergency Service, reporting where there are explosive objects on the outskirts.
Andriy, from the village of Kolonshchyna, during the occupation of Kyiv region he became an air scout, helping the local TRO. The result of his work was a burned column of fifty units of Rascist equipment that moved to Kiev.
“Your stories inspire each and every one of us. They inspire rescuers who rescue people from fires and destruction every day. You inspire our warriors. You inspire tens of thousands of people who bring our victory closer every day. You are our heroes and inspiration,” Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky said.
Denis Monastyrsky presented valuable gifts to each of the children present, and the Head of the State Emergency Service Serhiy Kruk — a child form of a rescuer.
