A press conference was held on the liberated territories of Kharkiv region for foreign and domestic media, organized by the Office of the President, the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Representatives of the media visited the premises of the school crushed by the occupiers in the village of Verbivka, Balakliy district, and recorded numerous destruction of infrastructure facilities.

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov noted that on the example of the Verbiv community, it is possible to make sure that the enemy does not leave the Ukrainian land voluntarily - the Ukrainian army repels every meter of the territory occupied by the enemy. The result of the six-month occupation of Kharkiv region is the absence of electricity supply, telephone and Internet connection and even water in the settlements.

“We need to restore critical infrastructure as much as possible. On the eve of winter, bridge crossings and supply routes should be restored in order to ensure the livelihoods of our people, in particular, we are talking about restoring the functioning of the banking system, pension and medical provision, etc.,” summed up the Chairman of the Kharkiv VCA.

Deputy Defense Minister Anna Malyar said that Balakleya was released by a specially created group of troops, which consisted of units of the Special Operations Forces, the Main Directorate of Intelligence and the Ground Forces of Ukraine. Currently, the operation continues until the complete liberation of the Kharkiv region.

“The Russians were defeated at Balaklea and behaved here, just as they did during the liberation of Kyiv. When they realized that they would be defeated, they announced that they were changing the plan of their operation, and fled, leaving everything from transport and weapons to underwear. At the same time, the Russians resort to total mining and blow up bridges,” said Anna Malyar.

Journalists also examined the site of Russian war crimes — the burial of local residents, which the occupiers arranged in Balaklea. During the exhumation of one of the bodies and the conduct of appropriate investigative actions

“Russian war criminals killed Ukrainian civilians all over the country. Likewise, in Balaklea in the last days of the occupation, the Russians shot a civilian car in which there were two civilians, whose bodies were then buried here,” said the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko.

The head of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region Sergey Bolvinov told the media that this terrible event occurred on September 6 at the central intersection of the city, where the occupiers had a checkpoint. As the car with the victims passed by, the Russian criminals shot them. Fixed bullet holes in the bodies of the victims. Next, the bodies will be referred for forensic examination.

Representatives of the media spoke with local residents who survived the six-month occupation and examined the torture chamber of the occupiers, which they arranged in the premises of the police department. Read more about this terrible cell of the false “Russian measure” in the material.
