Denis Monastyrsky: There will be no more weaknesses of law enforcement
This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine yesterday, February 14, on the air of the special format of the program “Freedom of Speech” on the ICTV channel.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that law enforcement officers are ready for scenarios of internal destabilization, the implementation of which in 2014-15 led to the temporary occupation of some areas of Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
“Then the weakness was in the inefficiency of law enforcement agencies, in the failure to make the right decisions at the right time,” Denis Monastyrsky is convinced.
In his opinion, law enforcement officers in many places did not wait for the order to use force and stop the disorder. At the same time, there is an example of Kharkiv and Odessa, where the active actions of the authorities allowed to keep the situation under control. Today, this experience has been taken into account — and law enforcement officers are ready for such destabilizing scenarios.
Recall, on February 12, units of the National Police, the National Guard, the State Border Guard Service and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine conducted tactical and special exercises in the territory of certain settlements of the Kherson region, near the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
