“Today, the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to perform its tasks taking into account external circumstances that objectively complicate the situation, both at the external borders and within the country,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted.

He said that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has taken measures to strengthen the protection of the State Border, including on the Ukrainian-Belarusian section. The Minister further reported that combating organized crime is one of the priorities. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has prepared a plan of measures to implement the Strategy for Combating Organized Crime.

The Ministry is also working on simplifying access to its services and improving their quality. For this purpose, a comprehensive draft law has been developed to ensure the issuance of a single standard driver's license that meets European requirements and increases the level of its protection.

Due to recent cyberattacks, special attention is paid to the issue of cybersecurity.

“Currently, the efforts of not only our ministry, but also other bodies are aimed at countering cyberattacks. In this regard, I draw attention to two important bills aimed at combating cybercrime and the use of electronic evidence, the adoption of which will make it possible to more effectively counter cybercriminals and fulfill our international obligations related to the implementation of the rules of the Budapest Convention,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
