Denis Monastyrsky: Shelters are audited in educational institutions and logistics are being developed
This was announced today, July 1, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky during the live broadcast of the “United News” telethon.
He spoke about the readiness of Ukrainian educational institutions before the beginning of the next school year, the security of stay during air threats, the protocol of action in case of a signal.
“Most schools have shelters that you can use. Currently, special local commissions are provided with recommendations developed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. They conduct an audit of these premises,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to him, the requirement is this: that within a few meters of walking from the school there are protective structures where you can be during the alarm.
“For most parents, the argument is that if children are in a safe place at school during an anxiety, it is better than them being at home or elsewhere. They will be taken care of and the children will have a proper education,” Denis Monastyrsky stressed.
The minister noted that most educational institutions have the following protective structures: “Today, logistics are being worked out to determine which class specifically goes out, for how many minutes it should be in the shelter, who specifically is personally responsible for the person to go to the shelter.”
He stressed that the main principle is safety. Work is now being carried out not only on the issue of shelters, but also on the safety level in educational institutions in general.
