Denis Monastyrsky: Law enforcers exhumed more than 600 bodies of dead in Kharkiv region
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky during a live broadcast on the TV marathon “United News”, talking about the recorded war crimes of the Russian Federation in the de-occupied territories.
“I can state that in every de-occupied territory we meet the same thing: the presence of torture by Russians,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
He stressed that in the territories of Kharkiv region, law enforcement officers have already exhumed more than 600 bodies of dead civilians: “It is not immediately possible to identify them. This is done through DNA analysis, special laboratories are working, and our international partners have helped us to provide these reagents and laboratories mobile in order to be able to do this quickly. But still, we understand that this work is for weeks, sometimes for months. In order to establish who exactly is glued. Relatives apply, we take the appropriate DNA samples, compare and only within a certain time can we do it.”
Denis Monastyrsky added that now the Verkhovna Rada has adopted a special law on DNA, which should simplify the procedure for identifying the bodies of the dead.
“In general, we understand that every moment of our approach to victory also reveals new war crimes committed by the occupiers,” the minister assured.
