About 20,000 war crimes are now registered by all law enforcement agencies. An investigation is underway, there are already first verdicts. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the opening of the exhibition of submerged Russian equipment in Kiev, which he visited together with the Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov. Destroyed tanks and BMPs, as well as other military equipment used by its occupiers in the war against Ukraine, were installed on Mikhailovskaya Square. Denis Monastyrsky spoke about the course of investigation of the occupiers' crimes against Ukrainians.

“We understand with you that most of the sentences will be in absentia, they will concern those servicemen whom we install from the lists of military units that fought in the Kiev region, Sumy region, Chernihiv region, Kharkiv region. Thanks to video recording, testimonies of witnesses, we establish who exactly committed these or other crimes and collect the whole picture, which will be presented both in the Ukrainian judge and in international courts,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

In addition, the ministers noted that the exhibits presented at the exhibition are evidence of these crimes.

“For me, as a lawyer, it is generally important that these remnants of enemy equipment are in The Hague and in Nuremberg. Because their crimes must be punished and they will pay for the life of every Ukrainian, every home. And this will be just proof that they were here and in my condition,” said Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.
