Denis Monastyrsky: 30 years of experience helps DVB to be effective in war
On the 30th anniversary of the creation and activity of the Department of Internal Security of NPU, employees of the unit were congratulated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko, the head of the DVB Yevhen Pikalov. On the occasion of the anniversary, the best representatives of the unit received state and departmental awards and incentives.
As Denis Monastyrsky emphasized, in the conditions of the war, the DVB, together with the entire police, was transformed to perform new functions.
“When greeting you, talking about your mission, it is impossible not to mention that all the functions of the police have changed a lot during this time, and the functions of the DVB have also changed. For the first time in their history, the DVB units stood at checkpoints, helped in the evacuation, had such a huge burden of identifying collaborators. The DVB, like the entire National Police, showed themselves in this very difficult time,” the Minister of Internal Affairs said.
He noted that a new history of the Department of Internal Security, the National Police, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and of Ukraine as a whole is being written. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is convinced that it was thanks to the experience of the previous 30 years and the people whose efforts this experience was formed, in particular the police from the DVB, that Ukraine withstood the Russian invasion and will definitely win.
