Marek Svoboda, the Executive Officer of the Czech Health Technology Institute, made this statement during a meeting with Inna Yashchuk, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

At the outset, Inna Yashchuk extended her gratitude for the invitation to the High-Level Conference on Mental Health, which took place in Prague in late May.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has also highlighted her appreciation for the gynaecological equipment donated by the Czech government in April and June. The new rooms with modern equipment have significantly improved the level of service delivery. In the near future, another donation of equipment is planned for another healthcare institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

During the meeting, Inna Yashchuk briefed the Czech delegation on the recent shelling of Ukraine's largest children's hospital, Okhmatdyt, the engagement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the relief efforts following the russian attack, and the evacuation of the injured children. Marek Svoboda, Executive Director of the Czech Health Technology Institute, noted that the Czech Republic has already provided assistance and is ready to accept children for treatment.

An important issue to discuss during the meeting was the creation of mental health centres within the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The Czech delegation invited Ukrainian specialists to visit a similar centre already operating in the Czech Republic.
