Most of the shelling by the occupiers of northern Ukraine takes place in Sumy region - DPSU
This was announced today by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko during a briefing in Ukrinform.
“Recently, most of the shelling has been coming to Sumy region. In particular, two days ago, the occupiers with the use of 120 mm mortars and SAU shelled the territory of Belopil community. The fire was fired from the side of the Russian settlement of Komsomolsk,” Demchenko said.
In total, during the past week, the DPSU recorded more than 60 shelling in the border areas of Sumy region, almost all of them with the use of artillery and mortars.
Andriy Demchenko also said that Ukraine continues to strengthen the northern directions. Border guards, together with other defense forces of the country, carry out reconnaissance of the terrain, engineering equipment of places of service, obstacles and checkpoints are installed.
