“White Angels” with volunteers evacuated two horses from Avdiyivka under shelling
These horses are from a farm in Lastochkino, which the Russians broke up in the spring of 2023. Then about 300 different animals died there. Most of the horses that survived were evacuated along with the owner, and these two somehow remained. They went wild and did not give themselves to the people.
Police officers and volunteers of the non-profit organization “Animal Rescue Kharkiv” went for the “mustangs”, among which was a professional stable with its own horse.
The plan was as follows: the horses would see a comrade and follow him.Upon arrival in Lastochkina, no horses were found. They searched everything — no one. Then the “white angels” went on business to Avdiyivka and there they were seen — graceful figures against the background of ruins.
In search of food, the horses ran 5 kilometers from the village to the city, and since there was no communication, the law enforcement officers quickly returned to the volunteers and already together caught up with the fugitives.
The plan worked. Single residents could see this surreal picture: a rider on horseback leads two more to the sounds of explosions. Thus, the convoy reached a neighboring village, and in the near future they will be evacuated outside the region.
