“White Angels” have been helping people in the combat zone for a year - Igor Klymenko
Today is exactly one year since the “White Angels” began helping people in the combat zone. Crews of police rescuers work near the front line, in towns and villages that the enemy has almost completely destroyed. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko in his Telegram channel.
“Now there are 18 volunteers in the groups: employees of various units from the criminal police to juvenile prevention. During this time, the groups evacuated more than 6 thousand people, of which more than 600 are children,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed.
According to the Minister, law enforcement officers evacuated all civilian population of Maryinka, as well as all residents from part of the Ocheretyn community near Avdiyivka. The crews provided all four stages of the mandatory evacuation of children.
“The police transported almost 300 people to hospitals and delivered more than 500 tons of humanitarian aid to frontline settlements,” Ihor Klymenko noted.
All “White Angels” are certified paramedics. Their cars are equipped with everything necessary to help people in emergency situations and are adapted to transport low-mobility groups of the population. Outfits are equipped with children's body armor.
“About 10 shootings for our Heroes ended in injuries and contusions. But they still go straight to hell every day to save lives — both people and animals. Thank you for your dedicated service to the people of Ukraine! We are approaching victory,” the Minister of Internal Affairs stressed.
