“White Angels” evacuated all families with children from Velyka Novoselka
The family, in which three children are raised, did not dare to evacuate for a long time. Mother, father, two boys and a girl arranged their life in one of the “points of indestructibility” and did not want to leave their native village. Law enforcement officers constantly visited the family and told them to evacuate. In the end, the “White Angels” managed to take the large family to a safer place.
Velika Novosilka was almost wiped off the face of the earth by the enemy, because the front line, where heavy fighting is currently taking place, passes near the village. Despite the deadly danger, people continue to live in the settlement. Due to the lack of electricity and gas, citizens organized themselves in colonies and settled in basements. Among them was a large family, which was persuaded by law enforcement to evacuate.
The two brothers and sister walked in the village for the last time in the summer. Because of the constant shelling, the children were afraid not only to leave the shelter, but also to leave here. The “White Angels” constantly visited the family and conducted preventive and psychological conversations with them. Adults categorically refused to leave outside the boundaries of Velikonovosilkovsky district. Thus, during the last visit, the family informed law enforcement that it had found housing in a safer place in the community and was ready for evacuation.
The “White Angels” took the family along with the dog to a new temporary home. Here adults and children will be able to relax and regain strength. In the future, law enforcement officers will carry out preventive work with the family regarding their further evacuation outside the region.
At present, less than 300 citizens remain in Velyka Novoselka. Due to constant shelling and smashed streets, local residents stopped moving around the village and did not see their homes for about half a year. Now people breathe fresh air only near the shelter. In order to prepare food and keep warm in the bomb shelters, they installed bullahs and burghers. Assistance with food, medicine and hygiene to locals is provided by volunteers and law enforcement. Police also deliver animal feed. Citizens refuse to leave the settlement.
Police talked to residents about their needs. It turned out that people needed fuel for the generator, so that the storage facilities had light and the ability to charge gadgets. Law enforcers promised to help, and during the next visit they will again convince citizens to evacuate.
