However, Andriy Lutsenko's life changed with the first missiles that flew to Ukraine and to his native Mariupol. “It all started in 2014, when the Crimea was occupied, even then I understood that there would be a terrible war, even then I understood that I would not be able to stand aside, but I would take up arms and go defend the Motherland,” Andriy recalls. In 2014, Andriy Anatolyevich volunteered for the border detachment and immediately went to Mariupol. After serving until 2017, he thought that he had done everything possible for the country and returned to his favorite business - theater. But then he did not even realize how much more to pass, that the war was just beginning. In recent years, he worked in the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theater, located in Mariupol, it was there that the Russian bomb fell, despite the inscription “CHILDREN”. |
“I always remember my beautiful Mariupol. God, what they did there, what they did with our people, there was a piece of my life left there,” Andriy
“It was very scary, I remember Volnovakha — I was almost born there for the second time. Constant fighting, cold, artillery shelling — it was very difficult,” the actor describes.
Currently, the hero is serving in the Kherson border patrol, because even then in the distant 2014 he promised himself to make every effort to return to the Ukrainian Crimea.
“I want the war to end, turn this page and live on and cherish every day of peaceful life,” the border guard shares his dreams. |
