The SRG of the Verkhovna Rada is the leading structure aimed at maintaining cooperation between Ukraine and NATO in the reform of the defense and security sector.

The main objectives of the joint activity can be grouped into four key areas covering the full spectrum of our respective engagement with the Alliance, namely:

• maintaining the military-political dialogue;
• promoting the reform and development of the security and defense sector of Ukraine;
• ensuring contribution to international security and peacekeeping;
• defense and technical cooperation.

Thanks to the SRG Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine has the opportunity to use the experience and expert knowledge of NATO countries in defense planning, development of strategies and concepts of national security.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine, the SRG of the Verkhovna Rada includes the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
