Risking your own life for the sake of others is about the special police unit “White Angel”, which helps civilians with evacuation from particularly hot spots.
Under constant enemy shelling, police take entire families out of Donetsk region, deliver humanitarian aid and provide medical assistance.
This is stated in the material of the journalist “Bihus.Info” Anna Kalyuzhna, who together with the film crew and police went to one of the evacuations near occupied Avdiyivka.
“A rocket has arrived... we are still in shock. There is no house, there is no barn, we just do not know what we should do next,” says one of the residents of Ocheretyny, which is constantly operated by enemy aircraft.
According to the police officer of the White Angel evacuation group, Gennady Yudin, at night there was a controlled air bomb in the village, as a result - windows and doors were blown off in nearby houses.
“We mainly work in hot spots. Because people almost always reach the last one, and then when their houses are already broken down, they start ringing. Therefore, we have to take people out in such conditions,” says Roman Dvodnenko, one of the police unit “White Angel”.
Often people refuse to evacuate, afraid to leave already destroyed houses. However, police say that timely evacuation can save lives.
