Currently, a third of Ukraine is planted with explosives. Only about 8 thousand square kilometers of Kherson region and Mykolaiv region are deadly for farmers. This land is now unsuitable for agriculture. Rescuers and farmers run the risk every day to exchange it.
Dmytro Komarov showed how the experts of the State Emergency Service depreciate Ukrainian lands in the new issue of the research project “The World Inside. Ukraine”.
All fields were mined around the rubble of the destroyed Holy Mykolaiv region. Groups of sappers work for 5-6 people. Carefully, slowly and attentively they examine every piece of land. Having found an explosive object, the sappers enclose it. After that, they decide whether to neutralize it immediately or take it to the places of mass destruction of ammunition.
This time, sappers take out dangerous items and blow them up in a special place.
