The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine conducts electronic consultations with the public on the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Rules of the Road” (hereinafter — the draft resolution), published on December 29, 2021 in the subheading “Draft regulations” of the heading “Regulations” Ministry of Internal Affairs official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: here.

The implementation of the draft resolution will allow to regulate the issues of operation in the winter period of time of vehicles equipped exclusively with winter and all-season tires, as well as to establish the procedure for the use of daytime running lights (low beam headlights) during the movement of a mechanical vehicle.

Possible consequences of the implementation of the draft resolution are:

• positive impact on the level of road safety;
• reducing the number of traffic accidents in daylight hours;
• increasing the level of responsibility of drivers.
