Main functions of the Department:

1) participation within the competence of the Department in the formation and implementation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs state policy in the areas defined by the Regulation on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 878 of October 28, 2015;

2) ensuring the implementation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs powers of the subject of management of objects of state ownership;

3) ensuring the right of employees, pensioners of the apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, members of their families to housing, proper use and safekeeping of the housing stock belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

4) organization and implementation of measures for the implementation of the energy management system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, territorial bodies for the provision of service services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, institutions, institutions and enterprises belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs;

5) organization of the work of the Fire Safety Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the metrological service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
