The suspect turned to the “authority” to help him repay a non-existent debt. For this, the attacker can now face up to seven years in prison.
Recall that on June 2, the operatives of the Strategic Investigation Department in the Transcarpathian region, the investigators of the Mukachevo Regional Police Department and the Investigative Department of the Regional Police with the force support of the KORD and special officers of the special purpose police regiment detained three attackers. This is a “spectator” behind one of the areas of the region and his accomplices. “Authority”, at the behest of a local entrepreneur, organized the recovery of $7,500 of non-existent debt. To knock out the mentioned amount, he attracted an accomplice, who also has a criminal past.
Then the detainees were informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 189 (extortion) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and taken into custody. On September
21, on the basis of the received evidence, a local businessman who turned to the “spy” for his use of his criminal influence, the police reported on the suspicion (part 1 tbsp. 255-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
For such actions, the current legislation provides for liability — imprisonment for a period of three to seven years with or without confiscation of property. Procedural management is carried out by employees of the Transcarpathian Regional Prosecutor's Office.
