“Chernobyl” of bodies and troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
General of the Internal Service of Ukraine,
Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
The fool Vasyl Vasilyevich on the occasion
Day of commemoration of participants in the elimination of consequences
Chernobyl disaster
Dear brothers and sisters, Chernobyl!
Dear families of the dead and deceased liquidators!
This year, we Chernobyl residents, like all citizens of Ukraine, celebrated the 35th anniversary of the large-scale accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant with catastrophic consequences. Today, Ukraine honors participants in the elimination of the consequences of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the largest man-made and environmental disaster of the twentieth century. The Chernobyl disaster will never be a thing of the past for us. The peculiarity of today is that humanity in the last hundred years has not faced crises of such a global scale.
So many summers and so many winters have already flown by, but the memory returns to the past.
The Chernobyl disaster is our lifelong pain, especially for us direct participants in the elimination of the consequences of the accident. All, without exception, liquidators, officers and generals, medical workers, servicemen of the internal forces in an extremely difficult, extreme environment acted courageously, professionally, without sparing their lives and health, honorably fulfilled their official and civic duty.
Paying tribute to each liquidator, it will be fair to note the special merits of firefighters and, first of all, special paramilitary fire units, whose courageous actions are recognized by the State Commission not only as timely, heroic, courageous, but also highly professional, effective. Unfortunately, today there are not many of us who have sacrificed themselves.
Lifelong honor, honor and glory to them!
All of us who live now are infinitely grateful to them for this.
Our sacred duty is to remember them, to show care for their families and relatives.
On behalf of the Ukrainian Association “Chernobyl” of bodies and troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, I sincerely thank all participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster for impeccable service, coordination in work, high professionalism, for incredible efforts in overcoming the catastrophic consequences of the accident.
You, dear friends, showed at that time the best human traits and fighting character. You deserve the proper daily care of the state to create favorable conditions for a dignified life, treatment and recovery. We, the liquidators - Chernobyl residents, like all citizens of Ukraine, want and will live in an economically strong, peaceful, stable, single sovereign state.
Finally, by joint efforts, we managed to get the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in July of this year to adopt laws on the renewal of social benefits and guarantees for Chernobyl veterans, which significantly increased the amount of their pension provision.
We will continue to strive for real implementation of Chernobyl legislation in the central and local authorities.
Chernobyl residents and their families have the right to do so.
Thank you very much to everyone who contributes and helps in the work of our Association.
I wish everyone — now living colleagues, Chernobyl brothers, your families, the families of the dead and deceased good health, family happiness, well-being, and the whole Ukrainian people — sustainable peace, stability and unity of Ukraine, a better life and confidence in their personal security, reliability. protection of the territorial integrity of the state, justice and the speedy victory over the historical enemy of the Ukrainian sovereign state! Good luck to you, dear compatriots!
With deep respect and sincere gratitude
